A Blogsite of a Youth Camper

Be happy, while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment. Ecclesiastes 11:9

After so, so long, I have made my way to LAUGHING GAS CITY! hahaha. My classmates (and my groupmates in hospital duty) Kara, Meg, and Nur and I went to NCCC Mall to watch the Simpson's Movie. Man! The money and time we spent there was all worthwhile! Really worth watching! Yes, yes, some of the content may be very mababaw for some, but it sure is hilarious! Totally awesome! We went inside the movie house just after the 5th screening. We were made to listen to many of Jason Mraz songs, not to mention that he is one of my favorite artists in the world. Then came the movie trailers, which is actually one of my favorites whenever I have the chance to watch inside a moviehouse. and at last, I heard the famous Simpons soundtrack..I got so excited then. I would be a spoiler if I will narrate how the movie went, but surely, it is really worth it. When all of us went outside, we were still wearing those big smiles we had..hang-over ba.. :D wee! I give 5 stars for that!

Please watch the trailer below:

Forever Grateful

The Summer Enrichment Program or the SEP of the Worldwide Church of God is an avenue for the youths to get to know Christ even better. Its holistic approach, through its activities and programs make a very big impact in each and every youth that attend the camp. I myself, for one, is a living testimony of how the Lord uses such camp to enrich and touch the hearts and lives of each camper. I attended the camp at a very young age. Campers are supposed to be from thirteen years old up to nineteen years old, and with good moral character. But when I joined the camp, I was merely eleven years old--was just only ten years, and ten months at that time. There were only two dorms for both girls and boys, and I belonged in Dorm 2G. I think we were eleven girls then..I remember clearly during the last day of the camp, our dorm had an open forum, and that most of my dorm mates were complaining about my "childish" attitudes..I didn't know, and I wasn't aware that my counselors already feel bad about my attitude during the camp. I thought everything was just pure playing, that there were no rules, and I am not obliged to ask permission when I want to go somewhere. I knew I wasn't being good. I knew I was a very bad camper. Since then, I started to become sensitive about how others might feel if I do this, or that..At eleven years old, I was forced to become mature. But I considered that as a blessing--at least, I learned things earlier. In my second SEP.. I learned about Christ's love for the mankind. I repented of my sins, and got baptized on May 4, 1999 - SEP Day 5. That is the highlight of my camp. Year after year, SEP after SEP, I gain new friends, meet new faces, experience different things, learn new stuffs, and a lot more. One thing's just consistent about SEP, and that is the LORD I've met and known in year 1999 is still the same LORD that I know and I always experience not only during SEP, but in my everyday life...With that, I am forever grateful.
